1970 VW Bus

1970 VW Bus:
I've owned this beautiful bus since 2004.
It's been a solid daily driver for the last 7 years. I recently sold my business and removed most of the decals/logos. I used adhesive remover and rubbing compound to try to restore the finish, but the paint is tired and patina'd. You can still see the outline of the logos in some places... I like the seasoned patina look, but the paint can best be summed up bay calling it a "30 footer".
This bus endured a 50 mile round trip commute every day and gets about about 19 MPG.
Well maintained: See the picture of the maintenance records; I had that tucked into the sun visor and updated it whenever I did any major work.
I installed a rebuilt long block engine about 21,000 miles ago.
Just serviced the brakes a few hundred miles ago, I also changed the oil & adjusted the valves (neglected to write that down)
It's got a quiet ride (relatively speaking) due to under-carpet padding and other insulation tricks.

Then I realized that it is good and proper for a man to eat and drink, and to find satisfaction in his toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given him—for this is his lot. Moreover, when God gives any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work—this is a gift of God. He seldom reflects on the days of his life, because God keeps him occupied with gladness of heart.
